You have to learn to love yourself, before you can love others

You have to learn to give, to truly live
You have to learn to want to be loved, to return love
You have to learn to try, to survive
You have to learn to want, to not get dumped
You have to learn to need, to not bleed
You have to learn to say, what you think
You have to learn to trust, before you can be trusted
You have to learn to promise, and it not be dishonest
You have to learn pride, so you don't feel dead inside
You have to learn to hope, to not feel so low
You have to learn to be true, and not just a ruse
You have to learn there's no excuse, when it comes to abuse
You have to learn people have souls, not for you to blow your nose
You have to learn you just can do, anything you want too
You have to learn you hurt people, when you are evil
You have to learn to think, with your brain
You have to learn to be kind, not to just be nice
You have to learn not to use, it's called abuse

hapiness

Happiness

They say it's the best,
When, in reality, it's not.
It's just like all the rest.
Why should I be happy all the time?
I don't get it,
You're just going to get knocked down,
And beaten to the bit.
It's been a long time since I've been TRULY happy,
8 years to be exact.
Ever since then,
It's always been an act.
Just an act to keep things normal,
They never knew of my pain,
I didn't want them to know,
That I was secretly going insane.
And they still don't know,
They never can,
It's because I'm a good actor,
And I have a plan.
They can never know,
Of my sadness.
Because if they do,
They'll try to turn it to happiness.
I hate happiness,
Hate it with a passion,
But until I can be truly happy again....
I guess I'm left to my slashing.
